THE POSITION:

Hope Academy GSO is a private, non denominational, Christ centered school serving students in grades K through 8. We provide access to a Christ-centered, high quality education for students, regardless of income.

The Director of Development leads fundraising, donor engagement, and community partnerships to advance Hope Academy’s mission and ensure long-term sustainability. This role serves on the leadership team and works collaboratively across the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage donor database, gift tracking, acknowledgments, and compliance

• Lead donor cultivation, stewardship, and Board-supported engagement

• Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns

• Oversee grants, sponsorships, and development calendars

• Create donor-facing communications including newsletters, reports, and impact stories

• Lead storytelling through written and visual content

• Build partnerships with businesses, churches, and community organizations

• Represent Hope Academy at community and fundraising events

  
  

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising or equivalent experience in sales, organizational leadership or business management

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative

• Alignment with Hope Academy’s Christ-centered mission

• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and perform routine physical tasks required for office and event support.
