MEMBERSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year, AFP awards scholarships for one Professional Membership and one Young Professional Membership membership to a fundraiser in the Triad region who hasn’t yet experienced AFP. Applicants must be sponsored by a current AFP member and complete the annual application by the posted deadline. Please note that current members may only sponsor one scholarship applicant per year.

The Professional Membership is a one year renewable scholarship. The first year, AFP covers the recipients annual membership dues; second year scholarships cover half of the annual membership with the remaining dues being paid by the recipients or their employer. Second year scholarships are determined by the recipients participation during their first year as a member. In addition, scholarship recipients agree to actively serve on a Board committee and to attend monthly AFP meetings for the duration of their scholarship period. In the event that a recipient leaves their position or organization during the scholarship period, the organization may send a replacement to fulfill the scholarship position or reimburse AFP for the awarded scholarship.
