One of the core functions of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is to connect members with training, presentations, peer support, and knowledge about excellence in fundraising by world class leaders. AFP members receive the best professional development value, and programming offers guests the opportunity to network with Triad professionals and to consider membership.
AFP Triad Programs Include:
- Monthly Meetings
- National Philanthropy Day
- State Conference
Monthly meetings are a great networking and educational opportunity. Each meeting features guest speakers or panels with leaders in our field. They’re dressing timely topics in fundraising and talking about how fundraisers are meeting challenges and opportunities to help their organizations succeed. Many AFP Triad monthly meetings are eligible for 1 CFRE continuing education credit. We also offer members-only workshops with regional experts bringing us in-depth perspectives on timely topics. These workshops are also CFRE continuing education-credit eligible.
We meet on the last Tuesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden in Kernersville, NC. Meetings include lunch and cost $15 for members, first time guests are free, and $25 for non-members. Advance RSVP is required.
AFP Triad hosts training webinars during the year that feature national experts in philanthropy taking a deep dive into the key skills development professionals need to develop a strong practice. These programs are offered both in Greensboro and Winston-Salem to make it easier for members to participate. An AFP Board member facilitates conversation after the webinar to apply what e’ve learned to our local market. AFP webinars are eligible for 1.5 CFRE continuing education credits.
Webinars are hosted in Greensboro from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. by the Guilford Nonprofit Consortium and in Winston-Salem from noon to 2 p.m. by Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina. Breakfast or lunch is included. Cost is $10 for members; $20 for non-members. RSVP is required.
This annual event celebrates and honors the leadership, talents, and investments of your donors and volunteers who make the Triad community a better place to live.
Each year, hundreds of nonprofit professionals from throughout North Carolina come together to learn, share, and network. Locations vary annually.
