DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic part-time (20 hrs/week) Development Associate to join our team. This role will be pivotal in supporting our organization's growth and sustainability through effective donor outreach & database management, marketing collateral creation, event support and capital campaign management—with a goal of $10MM—in support of the development of a 12,000 sq. ft cultural center. This person must be a self-starter and demonstrate initiative to see and complete tasks unassigned by TCA leadership but that is necessary to the project’s success.
Responsibilities:
Donor Outreach:
Identify, cultivate, and solicit donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential donors.
Coordinate donor stewardship activities, including acknowledgment letters, updates, and recognition programs.
Identify grant opportunities, writing proposals
Marketing Collateral Creation:
Create compelling marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, and digital content, to promote our organization's mission and programs—especially a case for support.
Ensure all marketing materials align with the organization's brand and messaging.
Collaborate with the communications team to leverage social media and other platforms for fundraising and outreach efforts.
Capital Campaign Management:
Assist in planning and executing capital campaigns and major fundraising initiatives.
Manage campaign logistics, timelines, and communication strategies.
Track progress towards fundraising goals and provide regular updates to the development team and organizational leadership.
Event Support:
Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, including donor receptions, galas, and community outreach events.
Coordinate logistics, invitations, and follow-up No activities related to events.
Database Management:
Maintain accurate and updated donor records in the organization's CRM database.
Generate reports and analyze data to inform fundraising strategies and decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or related fields.
Proven track record in donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Experience with capital campaign management is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM & Donor management software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
