THE POSITION:

Children’s Law Center of Central North Carolina (CLC) is a nonprofit organization providing children with quality legal advocacy focusing on domestic violence issues, high-conflict custody cases, and the rights of children in public education. Our vision is to increase children’s potential to become emotionally healthy adults through fostering their sense of hope and empowerment. The Development Director will confidently represent the organization throughout the Triad to donors and donor prospects, philanthropic entities, the corporate community, community organizations, and charitable foundations.

Role Description

The Development Director plays a key leadership role in advancing CLC’s mission through strategic oversight of the organization’s development efforts. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for the creation and execution of comprehensive fundraising, marketing, and communications strategies

This position provides direct supervision to development focused Board Committees, development interns, and volunteers, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes accountability, innovation, and excellence. The Director will also work closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and community stakeholders to strengthen organizational capacity, sustainability, and visibility.
