Transforming Capital Through Community Fundraising explores how Democracy North Carolina has reimagined fundraising not only as a means to sustain our work—but as a strategy to shift who holds power, who tells the story, and who fuels the movement.

Grounded in 30+ years of voter advocacy and leadership development, this session will share how Democracy NC aligns its fundraising with its values—centering racial and economic justice, community-rooted engagement, and the leadership of those most impacted by systemic inequities.

We’ll explore real examples of how we engage donors as partners in organizing, uplift community-led storytelling to shift narratives, and develop donor strategies that reflect and reinforce our political and programmatic goals.
