January Monthly Meeting - Bring Your Best Self Into 2022
Presented by: Barbara Smith Power, Fitness Guru We'll focus on self-care for mind, body, and spirit. We'll learn some simple techniques to help quiet the mind, feel and feed the body, and let the spirit shine, including a short session of easy chair yoga and a brief meditation practice.

About the Event
We all want to offer our best selves to our families, our work, and our community, but we can't do that unless we first offer that same level of care to ourselves. As we enter a new year still facing the uncertainty of the pandemic and the additional stress it's placed on our lives, it becomes even more important to find those moments where we can step back, take a breath, find just a moment of stillness, and give ourselves a little extra grace. In this workshop, we'll focus on self-care for mind, body, and spirit. We'll learn some simple techniques to help quiet the mind, feel and feed the body, and let the spirit shine, including a short session of easy chair yoga and a brief meditation practice. You will leave feeling refreshed and refocused, hopefully with a new sense of purpose for 2022. Please come join us!
Barbara Smith Power is a 500-hr RYT yoga instructor, as well as a certified cycle, group exercise, and Body Pump teacher. She has taught yoga for almost 6 years at various locations in Greensboro and High Point, and now teaches exclusively at the Kathleen Price Bryan YMCA, where she also serves as the Annual Campaign Coordinator. She previously worked in the Advancement Office of New Garden Friends School, and held several other volunteer positions there and in the Greensboro community.
