About the Event

Knowing how to give your board context for your fundraising program starts with how you report fundraising strategy and results.  This session focused on what is important and how to share it with your board.

Participants will learn:

  • How to provide the board with the context for fundraising
  • The best tools for analyzing and communicating goals and results to the board
  • How to develop board ownership of the fundraising plan

With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Kathryn Gamble is a proven and successful fundraising consultant. During her career, Kathryn has held senior leadership positions at the North Carolina Museum of Art, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Saint Mary’s School and East Carolina University.

Kathryn’s consulting focus is on capital campaigns, major gift programs, staff assessments and board workshops/retreats. As vice president of Gail Perry Group, she provides oversight for all our consulting projects and support for our consulting team.

She has spoken at AFP ICON; AFP NC Philanthropy Conference, AFP Triad, and the NC Center for Nonprofits Conference. Her webinar, Close More Major Gifts: Using Wealth Screening to Focus on the Right Potential Donors, was the top-rated webinar of the DonorSearch Mastermind Series in 2022.

Kathryn Gamble received her MBA from Queens University in Charlotte and received her Ph.D. in Public Administration from NC State University. She serves as adjunct faculty at Johns Hopkins University where she teaches nonprofit governance and executive leadership.
