  • The Extended Deep Dive session is FREE to NC Triad AFP Members with advance registration required.
  • One guest may attend at the discounted rate of $15 along with their Chapter Member!
  • Other visitors may attend at a cost of $30 each, separate from the fee for the lunch meeting.
  • Deep Dive Workshop attendees are strongly encouraged to attend the monthly meeting session as it serves as the presenter’s introduction to the topic.

During our regular lunch session, Nicole will introduce nonprofit professionals to the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence in fundraising.

In the extended deep-dive workshop, participants will explore practical AI applications, from donor segmentation to predictive analytics, gaining insights into integrating these technologies into their fundraising efforts. This interactive session includes real-world examples, tool recommendations, and lots of time for questions. Attendees will be equipped with the knowledge and resources to revolutionize their fundraising strategies with AI.

We will explore biases that exist in AI and will walk through how to identify hallucinations in outputs and how to tune the tools to reduce biases. During the breakout sessions, we will hear from a range of voices with different levels of experience in AI.

Participants will:

Understand the Basics and Relevance of AI in Nonprofit Fundraising: Participants will gain a foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence, including its core principles and functionalities, and specifically how it can be applied effectively in the context of nonprofit fundraising.

Explore Practical Applications of AI in Fundraising: Attendees will learn about various practical applications of AI in fundraising, such as donor identification and segmentation, personalized communication strategies, and the use of predictive analytics to forecast fundraising trends and donor behavior.

Develop Strategies to Implement AI in Fundraising Efforts: Participants will acquire knowledge on the steps needed to integrate AI into their existing fundraising strategies, including an overview of accessible AI tools and resources tailored for nonprofit organizations.

Speaker Bio:

Nicole Royer is an innovator and visionary in the business and nonprofit world, with more than 20 years of experience up her sleeve. She's all about empowering organizations and their leaders, using her unique blend of engaging content and practical advising to drive real results. Nicole's secret sauce? A mix of innovative thinking, fresh perspectives, and streamlined processes, all delivered with her authentic, resourceful style.

Nicole's journey began at Walden University, where she studied business and organizational psychology. But she didn't stop there. A lifelong learner, Nicole continues to soak up knowledge from innovators across the globe, constantly sharpening her skills and expertise.

Her insights and strategies have not only been featured in top publications like Business Insider and The Startup but have also caught the attention of podcasters and content creators. You might even have come across her strategy for building effective connections on LinkedIn in Stu Heinecke's best-selling book “Get the Meeting.”

Recently, Nicole has been making waves in the consulting and program creation world. She played a key role as an expert advisor for Pacific Community Ventures’s Small Business Basics cohort and created the Lending Readiness Accelerator Program, which helps disadvantaged businesses get up to speed for funding opportunities. In 2023, she upped the ante by structuring an emerging technologies program for a Fortune 500 company, managing a portfolio worth a whopping $330M.

When she's not revolutionizing the business world, Nicole is at home near Winston-Salem, North Carolina, enjoying life with her fiancé and kids. Outside of her professional life, she sits as the Vice President of the Board of Trustees for Winston-Salem Montessori and spends time reading, writing, and hiking. It's this balance of professional achievement and family life that keeps her inspired and ready to tackle whatever comes next.
