DESCRIPTION:
Capital Development Services (CapDev) is a leading nonprofit consulting firm serving clients in the southeastern U.S. We provide experienced counsel to assist nonprofit clients with feasibility studies, development assessments, capital campaign planning and preparation, campaign implementation, and executive searches. We are seeking a part-time contract prospect research position.
Essential Job Functions
• Produce comprehensive individual research profiles using a provided template, which outlines current and historical biographical, financial, education, faith, career, community involvement, philanthropic giving and political contributions.
• Interpret and analyze the research findings into a wealth capacity rating template and assign a capacity rating along with an explanation.
• Adhere to ethical, contractual and legal standards of data collection (e.g. Donor Bill of Rights, FERPA, HIPAA, and terms of usage for web pages).
• Stay current on the industry-standard processes for prospect identification, cultivation (moves management) and prospect tracking methodology. Report any issues, recommendations for improvements, and pertinent changes to CapDev staff.
• Respond to requests from staff as necessary and in a timely manner.
