Manager of Individual Giving

Salary range: $45,000 - $58,000


The Manager of Individual Giving is responsible for the overall success of the Grogan Society. This role provides strategic coordination, planning and stewardship for leadership gifts between $1,000 and $10,000. Works with the Chief Development and Public Relations Officer and with the Annual Fund Manager to identify, cultivate and solicit annual fund support.


Essential Functions: • Responsible for renewing and stewarding Grogan level gifts.

• Analyze and report on progress of the Grogan Society program by generating donor reports.

• Work with the Chief Development and Public Relations Officer to create and produce major donor cultivation events at private homes and small venues to increase awareness for Family Services.

• Coordinate and manage prospect moves management program, including tracking prospects, maintaining prospect lists, and facilitating internal prospect review meetings.

• Work with donors and volunteers to assist with any questions or concerns as needed. Maintain the utmost confidence and confidentiality with all contacts.

• Serve as staff gift officer with a portfolio of donors and prospects for cultivation and solicitation.

• Ensure records for the donor recognition societies are accurate and publicized correctly.

• Assist in writing letters, grants, and correspondences.

• Provide support to department in preparation of presentations and meetings.

• Run reports and pull data for staff on an as-needed basis.

• Provides a supporting role in data entry and gift processing including invoicing donors for Capital Campaign pledge payments.

• Performs other duties as incumbent upon the position and as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree plus 3-5 years’ successful administrative (and/or fundraising) experience in a nonprofit organization.

• Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge software and high computer aptitude.

• Ability to research and develop new fundraising programs to support agency needs and objectives.

• Strong public speaking abilities.

• Ability to plan, track and measure goals and objectives.

• Proven track record with fundraising reporting methodologies and analytics.

• Creativity and ability to conceive and aggressively pursue fundraising opportunities as appropriate, promoting Family Services and its mission.

• Ability to articulate ideas clearly (both written and orally), listen accurately, and establish personal rapport with people from a variety of backgrounds.

• Excellent budget development and cost analysis skills.

• Maintains dignity and self-control in stressful situations.

• Objective about personal strengths and limitations.

• Proven logical, systematic, integrative, conceptualizing thought process.
