Part-time position - 30 hours/week - flexible

Salary range: $23-$25 per hour

The Grants Manager's primary responsibilities are identifying and cultivating corporate and foundation partnerships, preparing grants and grant reports, initiating proposals, and cultivating Grantors. The Grants Manager must be comfortable making introductory calls and occasional presentations to a range of potential funding and donation partners and must have excellent communication skills.

The position requires excellent research and organization skills. The Grants Manager is responsible for researching and identifying corporate foundations and/or individual interests to fund the assigned projects, developing and/or managing an information system that tracks prospects, solicitors, and funding history, and preparing accurate and timely reports to the Vice President of Philanthropy.

The Grants Manager will also be responsible for developing and advancing relationships with existing and potential partner organizations in cooperation with the VP of Philanthropy.

The Grants Manager must demonstrate a proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines. Strong writing and editing background is needed; fundraising experience is a plus but not a requirement.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Certification and Knowledge/


Experience in writing (not specifically grants) along with fundraising experience or equivalent. Background in preparing budgets and attention to detail is paramount for this position. Applicant should be extremely proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
