Salary range: $49,514 - $62,514
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
The Assistant Director of Gift Services is a member of the Gift Services team and part of the University Development Office Business and Operations group. At Carolina, Gift Services supports the fundraising efforts for all schools, units, and departments across campus. Gift Services provides support and expertise to a very successful University-wide development operation, which surpassed $600 million per year in fundraising to support students, scholarships, research, academic programs, and other initiatives in the University.
The Assistant Director supervises a team of five revenue specialists and oversees several key areas in Gift Services, including the day-to-day operations of revenue processing, and works with our campus partners across campus to ensure our donors’ gifts are processed with accuracy and gratitude. Primary duties include oversight of pledge/commitment administration, the reminder processes, gift receipting, departmental documents, and large batch review/committal process. This position also monitors and implements PCI-Compliance trainings and reviews with development staff. The Assistant Director oversees and manages inquiries from customers, including development colleagues and donors, related to gift designations, receipting, gift-making instructions, giving histories, recognition programs, tributes, etc.
