Assistant Director of Gift Services

Full-Time Position

The primary purpose of this position is to oversee and manage several key areas in the Office of Gift Services including the day-to-day operations of revenue processing. This position will supervise a team of five revenue specialists that will have responsibilities for various schools, units and foundations across campus. This position will oversee and manage inquiries from customers, including development colleagues and donors, related to gift designations, receipting, gift-making instructions, giving histories, recognition programs, tributes, etc. This position will also serve as the key liaison to development officers and staff within the schools and units throughout UNC Chapel Hill regarding donors’ gifts, fielding inquiries, researching discrepancies, and correcting or elevating to the director as necessary. This position will require knowledge of CASE Reporting Standards and Management Guidelines as well as Internal Revenue Service rules and regulations on charitable contributions to effectively and correctly research and answer customer questions as well as to manage the gift process.
