Advancement Services Manager Long-Term Sub
The Advancement Services Manager supports the organization by gathering, organizing, managing and disseminating information to guide the sound and effective advancement practices of Summit School. S/he will adhere to policies and procedures that maximize the integrity of our philanthropic strategies. The position is the backbone or hub of Summit’s advancement operations, as s/he will position colleagues for success in relationships with constituents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Donor Relations & Stewardship
Track constituents, biographical information, & relationships
Acknowledge all gifts & pledges accurately and in a timely manner
Send monthly pledge reminders
Comfort interacting with high-level donors
Gift Accounting & Reporting
Process gifts & acknowledgements for annual & special campaigns
Manage system of electronic & bank deposits, recurring gifts, payroll deduction, & credit card gifts
Accurately report fundraising information on a regular basis for staff & advancement committee meetings
Work closely with business office to reconcile accounts
Support Capital Campaign volunteers with data analytics and reporting
Information Systems & Management
Manage large amounts of data in Veracross
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Maintain strict confidentiality
Support special events, including evening cultivation and appreciation events and biennial gala
Process matching gifts and serve as point person to matching gift organizations
Understand, explain and apply all regulations and guidelines governing fundraising, gift processing and gift accounting (IRS, CASE, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in a non-profit organization in development
Experience with gift records management
Strong communication , organizational skills & interpersonal skills
Super-user in database programs, Veracross or similar CRM software
