The Greensboro Builder’s Association (GBA) is a champion for affordable housing through its ongoing partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro and Community Housing Solutions.

The GBA started their partnership with Habitat Greensboro in 2003. Since then, 71 Builders from GBA have built 64 Habitat homes. They have also completely rehabbed two homes and built two additional homes from the ground up.

In addition to GBA’s partnership with Habitat Greensboro and Community Housing Solutions, GBA members give back to the community in many other ways. The group organized hurricane relief trips for Floyd and Katrina and have assisted local community groups with construction-related needs. Partner organizations have included Peacehaven Community Farm, McIver Education Center, Hospice Beacon Place, Amy’s House – A Room at the Inn of the Triad, and the Bingham Street Redevelopment Project.
