Outstanding Business in Philanthropy - High Point
Nominated by Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem

ImageFIRST, a nationwide company dedicated to medial linen rental and laundry services, was nominated by Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem for their commitment to the mission and daily operations of Ronald McDonald House, providing in-kind laundry service as well as financial and volunteer support. As a corporation, ImageFIRST strives to be a business leader in philanthropy and charitable giving, which is evident in that they participate in 50 community service events, volunteer,  donate to 100 non-profit organizations, and contribute $500,000 in cash and in-kind services per year.

In the Triad, ImageFIRST in High Point cleans 500 pounds of linens and towels for Ronald McDonald House each week! That’s about 25,000 pounds each year and a savings of about $15,000 for the Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem.  Not only is this a gift to the Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem, but it also lets staff focus on tasks other than laundry.

ImageFIRST’s commitment to the Ronald McDonald House took on a new meaning in 2020. When the COVID-19 pandemic reached the USA, ImageFIRST engaged experts to test their laundering practices for efficacy. The results assured ImageFIRST and our Ronald McDonald House that the laundry would be not only sparkling clean, but completely sanitized of COVID-19 germs.

ImageFIRST encourages their employees to volunteer in their community, and their leadership lead by example. The General Manager of the Triad’s ImageFIRST is a member of Ronald McDonald House’s Heart of Gold Society and encourages other employees at every level of the organization to support the community and Ronald McDonald House as well.  ImageFIRST helps many other organizations in their respective markets including past support to the American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, Veterans Empowerment Organization, Philabundance, and Feed My Starving Children.

The Triad is fortunate to have ImageFIRST in our community.  They are a wonderful example of philanthropy at work in the business world!

"When you think about the needs of others and the fact that people are so often done in by circumstances that they can’t control, you remember it’s within your ability to give back... to help them deal with these issues....If we, as ImageFIRST, can give back, it’s so important. We have the means and you have the need, it’s the right thing to do. I love to come here (RMH Winston-Salem)!  Anything that we can do to support the work you do, let us help. If you want the definition of love, it’s people who are giving to other people when circumstances are out of control."
